CREAM

Much has been made in recent months of Liverpool's regeneration programme. Visits made by In The City, Radio One's Sound City in addition to numerous bars and hotels springing forth on every corner, investment by businesses in the area etc, have been applauded from all quarters.
What many seem to have forgotten is that Liverpool, for seven years has been home to the U.K's (and indeed Europe's) most famous and respected club- Cream.
The organisation's famous 3point logo is known the world over, and represents not only Cream, but the city itself. Cream is the epitome of style, taste and the very best in dance music. Who has not witnessed coachfuls of clubbers arriving from Manchester, London, all over the country en-route to Liverpool's most celebrated club?
Cream has become a way of life to many many people, and it has been flying the flag for this area for a long long time. Receiving awards a-plenty, they organise events in countries all over the world - Spain (of course), Greece, Brazil, Argentina, Northern Ireland, Uruguay and now the biggie, America.

The Creamfields one day festival last year visited Winchester - this summer Liverpool itself hosted the event.

1998's New Years Eve was an ambitious event for Cream, taking part alongside major venues in Manchester, Newcastle and London. 30,000 clubbers celebrated the New Year simultaneously, entertained by Fatboy Slim, Faithless, Paul Oakenfold, Todd Terry, Roger Sanchez....

Millenium Eve though threatens to top that. Cream are organising four - count 'em-club night extravaganzas; two in Liverpool, one each in London and Cardiff, starring the biggest names in dance music.

Cream isn't merely a club, oh no; it represents some of the U.K's top DJs; it has released many compilation CDs. The Cream shop has become the top clubwear shop in the Northwest.

Things continue to move forward for Cream.
And make no mistake, they're flying the flag for Liverpool.
