A round
of applause for all of those lovely people down at the Unity. Together, with
those charmers at the MFV (Mersey Film & Video), they have given the perfect
present to all budding Kubricks, Speilbergs or Hitchcocks. If you, yes we
mean you, have ever wanted to spill your creative juices all over some celluloid,
then these MFV and Unity nights will, surely provide the impetus needed to
stir you into ACTION! (Ahem)
Sold and out are two words which will tell you that these occasions are quietly
successful. They provide a good quality audience for all of those willing
to get from off their backsides and dedicate themselves to doing something
juicy with their time.
All of the filmmakers, without fail, gave a nod to the MFV. From inception,
to completion the MFV have guided all of these junior Scourceses through what
can be a long, and often arduous process. Most of them, it seems, turning
up on their doorstep with nothing than a smile and an an idea.
These are the kind of collaborations which put a smile on your face. Two of
the citys creative forces combining to give the little man a chance,
its a heartwarming tale for every man, woman and child. Its a
night where you leave the venue feeling that I could do that kind
of feeling, and therein my friends lies the beauty of these events.
Look out for the next one and you will see exactly what I mean.
