Of course he really does get older, which goes against the way his character is meant to behave, but you're prepared to turn a blind eye to David Boreanaz's Angel maturing like no other vampire because he looks so much better the older he gets. Add to that a whole splash of festering evil, and its no wonder why Riley could never measure up...
