Placebo are currently trampling around America, roosted high on the hog thanks to a massive sale for Pure Morning, which is apparently known as The Weed Song by American audiences.

Molko, talking to the now-defunct Melody Maker, described his happiness with the American audiences: "Compared to British fans, our American fans are far less guarded, far more up-front and far more perverted." Presumably Brian hasn't yet played the mid-west.

These, of course, are fighting words: some kind of challenge to British fans. Clearly, we must all attend Placebo's V99 dates this summer acting like we're in an Ash video, if we are to regain the coveted title of 'most perverse Placebo fans.' In the meantime, sending Brian incredibly perverted letters will have to suffice.
